Praise and Psalm 96, part 1

Psalm 96 is a praise Psalm and as such teaches us much about the praise and worship of our God. In verses 1-6 the psalmist gives a call to universal worship--all nations and all the earth are to praise God. This vision is fulfilled through Jesus Christ in the New Testament. Then the psalmist tells us why we are to praise God--because He is worthy, great, the only God, and the Creator of all things.
